Description

Die Stadt Oldenburg möchte einen Neubau für das Stadtmuseum Oldenburg realisieren. Der Neubau wird die 1968 entstandene Neue Galerie ersetzen und sich somit nahtlos in die Lücke zwischen Horst-Janssen-Museum und den historischen Villen einfügen. Das für den Neubau des Stadtmuseums vorgesehene vergrößerte Foyer mit Kasse, Shop und Café dient sowohl dem Stadtmuseum als auch dem Horst-Janssen-Museum und den historischen Villen. Die Dauerausstellungsfläche von insg. 800 qm auf 2 Ebenen stellt eine Verdoppelung der bisherigen Ausstellungsflächen für die ständige stadtgeschichtliche Ausstellung dar. Daneben wird es eine 400 qm große Sonderausstellungsfläche geben. Im Staffelgeschoss werden 2 museumspädagogische Räume für Vermittlungsprogramme zur Verfügung gestellt.
Es wird ein Auftragnehmer gesucht, der die Gestaltung für die neue Dauerausstellung, die erste Sonderausstellung und das Foyer des Stadtmuseums Oldenburg übernimmt.
