Description

1. The subject of the contract is the supply of equipment for container towns and additional equipment for temporary shelters under the grant project entitled Development and maintenance of rescEU shelter capacities in Poland, divided into three parts: A. Lot 1, under which the Contractor will be required to provide 3,400.00 units of field beds, in accordance with the technical specifications set out in Annex 1 to the SWZ – ‘Description of the subject-matter of the contract. Part 1’, whereby, for the avoidance of doubt, the Contracting Authority declares that: ⁇ does not allow the construction of a carbon steel bed frame, ⁇ the term ‘polymer foam’ indicated in the description of the subject of the contract (bed bed filled with polymer foam) also includes polyurethane foam, ⁇ allows cardboard packaging, subject to the possibility of sealing the packaging, B. Part 2, under which the Contractor will be required to provide partition screens / partition walls / side awnings in the amount of 6 800 pieces, in accordance with the technical specification constituting Annex 1 to the SWZ – ‘Description of the subject of the contract. Part 2’, C. Part 3, under which the Contractor will be required to supply: a. a set of bedding, which consists of:  pillowcases – 9,872 units (6,800 units as direct equipment for residential containers and 3,072 units as additional security – packed separately)  blanket/duvet covers – 9,872 units (6,800 units as direct equipment for residential containers and 3,072 units as additional security – packed separately)  sheets – 9,872 units (6,800 units as direct equipment for residential containers and 3,072 units as additional security – packed separately) b. bedding consisting of:  pillows – 4,936 pieces (3,400 pieces as direct equipment for residential containers and 1,536 pieces as additional security – packed separately)  quilts – 4,936 pieces (3,400 pieces as direct equipment for residential containers and 1,536 pieces as additional security – packed separately) – in accordance with the technical specification set out in Annex 1 to the CVT – ‘Description of the subject of the contract. Part 3’, whereby, for the avoidance of doubt, the Contracting Authority declares that: ⁇ does not consent to the delivery of pillows with quilted lining and silicone ball filling, ⁇ allows the delivery of a sheet with an elastic band sewn around the perimeter and a sheet with elastic bands sewn on each corner, ⁇ the required weight of 140 g/m2 indicated in the description of the subject of the contract applies only to cotton, i.e. without an insulating layer, ⁇ the required weight of the pillow 700 g indicated in the description of the subject of the contract applies to the entire product (pillow), not only to the filling of the pillow, ⁇ does not require a specific color of the pillow, subject to the uniformity of color (combination of different colors is excluded), ⁇ the weight of the filling of the quilt 450-1000 g indicated in the description of the subject of the contract applies to the entire quilt, this is not imposed, ⁇ does not require a specific material from which the lining / filling of the quilt is to be made, subject to all the parameters required in the description of the subject of the contract, in particular: breathable, hypoallergenic, moisture-wicking materials, ⁇ does not require a specific texture of the quilt / undercoat, allowing both the quilt / pillow smooth and quilted, ⁇ does not require a specific material from which the pillow plating is to be made, provided that the pillow meets all the parameters required in the description of the subject of the contract, i.e. in particular: breathable, hypoallergenic, moisture-wicking materials, ⁇ ‘polyester fiber silicone balls’ is not another name for ‘silicon granules/fibres’ – granules are small, irregular fragments of silicone material, taking different shapes. The balls, meanwhile, are regular and softer. Granules maintain their form better, silicone balls can lose their properties and form over time, especially after repeated washing. Cushions with balls (until they lose their properties) are more fluffy and comfortable, but they do not always provide permanent support, especially for people with spine problems, while those with granules better adapt to the natural curvatures of the head and neck, providing greater stability and adequate support, and reducing the risk of neck pain and muscle tension. Therefore, although the composition of both materials is based on polyester fibers covered with a silicone coating, the difference lies in the shape and physical properties of the fillings: granules are more compact and resilient, and silicone balls are more fluffy and soft. With balls, polyester fibers are simply formed into regular spherical shapes. The contracting authority ruled out filling pillows with balls due to lower durability, less versatility and the fact that they require more care when washing, which in a crisis situation cannot be a priority. 2. Irrespective of the supply consisting in the delivery of the items of delivery referred to in paragraph. 1 above, the Contractor is also obliged to: a. permanent and visible marking, respectively, of the delivery item and the packaging of the delivery item, in accordance with the description of the information marking constituting Annex 1A to the CTS – ‘Information marking’, b. providing the Ordering Party with a quality guarantee for the delivered delivery items, at least until 30 September 2026, under which the Contractor will be obliged to remedy defects and defects in the delivery item, and (where applicable) to carry out or ensure periodic inspections and/or maintenance of the delivery item, required and/or recommended by the manufacturer, at the exclusive cost of the Contractor and under the conditions set out in Annex 2A – 2C to the CTS – ‘Designed contractual provisions’.
