The extension of the U2 line closes a gap in the local rail network. Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe station thus becomes the link between the U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines and the existing and planned infrastructure projects. The extension of the U2 light rail line increases the attractiveness of local public transport in the Rhine-Main region and in the city of Bad Homburg v.d. Höhe.
