Planning services for the planned construction of 110 kV cable routes between the Wöhler and Maarweg substations
RheinNetz GmbH is planning new cable routes of the 110 kV voltage level to secure the supply of the Cologne city area on the left bank of the Rhine. In order to ensure the power supply in the 110 kV range, the substation (hereinafter referred to as UW) Wöhler and UW Maarweg are to be connected via a so-called transport route. Connection points are defined in the range of both UWs (Appendix 5.2 and 5.3). The transport route comprises a redundant cable connection, i.e. the laying of 2 cable systems, each with a cable system in an approximately 0.6 m wide lean concrete block (Appendix 5.4). In order to comply with the redundant supply, the two cable systems must be located in separate streets, but at least on opposite sections of a common road in the case of a borderline. The route search amounts to a length of approx. 2 x 4.5 km. 4.5 km is the simple distance of an existing route link between the two substations. The cable laying is mainly made in open trench construction. Only at neuralgic points (e.g. railway tracks, crossings, water bodies, bridges, etc.) is the production carried out in underground construction. The services owed or the scope of services (performance diagrams, service phases, basic and special services) result from the general planner contract.
