In the municipalities of Merijärve, Siev and Alavieska, the fibre network cooperative of the river valleys (later the river network) builds an optical fibre-based network. Further information on the river network and the fibre network to be built can be found at www.jokiverkko.fi.
The Merijärve project area has already been built and Sievink’s works are at an advanced stage. The river network has scattered the construction of the network into independent entities. This tendering procedure will procure the optical fibre cables necessary for the construction of the network in the Alavieska region. The acquisitions will take place in 2019 and 2020.
