The object of the procurement was to carry out the works representing the ‘Retention of the load-capacity and the modernisation of the take-off and landing runway and associated mission areas at Bacau George Enescu International Airport’.
The description of the works is available in the ‘Tender specifications’ section of this award document.
The works included in the specifications refer to the ‘Retention of load-bearing capacity and modernisation of the take-off and landing runway and of the miscarriage areas of Bacau George Enescu’ International Airport, including sewerage works, lighting structure and installations.
The project, with regard to airport road structures, provided for the demolition of the existing runway over a length of 2 500 m, over a 45-metre length and its restoration with a new road structure and the existing structure on both sides of the runway on a 2 x 17.5 m.
