Description

Purpose of adoption:
The works are carried out on the E40 between the Bertem complex (kmpt. 15,300) and the Sterrebeek complex (kmpt. (9,200) and comprise mainly:
— The creation of a new passage in the middle of the Sterrebeek complex (KMP). 9,000).
— The affining of asphalt hardening (average depth 4 cm), the outbreak of the DGB hardening (average thickness 20-21 cm), the outbreak of the sandwich layer in KWS concrete, and the outbreak of the existing foundation in lean concrete.
— The replacement of this DGB hardening by a new continuous stone foundation of 25 cm, 2 substrates (8 and 9 cm AVS-B) and a top-up of 4 cm SMA-C2.
— The partial outbreak and renewal of the concrete trap towards Brussels (in the zones without a strip, 2 030 m).
— The installation of new thermoplastic structural markings.
— The renovation of 3 upper bridges (B16, B20 and B21) above the E40 and 3 subbridges (O17, O18 and O19) under the E40.
— The reconstruction of the Bertem car pool car park, located in the E40 x N3 complex in Bertem.
Description of the works:
1. Structural maintenance hardening E40.
— The affining of the existing topsoil in asphalt SMA-C2 with a thickness of 4 cm over the whole width of the E40, including the selective and stage stripping of the asphalt hardening over a variable thickness: min. 4 cm max. existing thickness of asphalt hardening (21 cm) on the foot strip towards Brussels.
— The cautious outbreak of the existing DGB hardening, thickness 20-21 cm, width 15,5-16 m (maintaining the New Yersey in the central mountains).
— The outbreak of the existing underlying foundation in lean concrete (thickness 20-25 cm).
— The partial outbreak of the existing ditch in concrete, side side.
— The installation of a filling layer (5 to 10 cm) with sand for foundation on top of the existing base of sand which is retained.
— The installation of a new foundation of stabilised crushed stone, thickness 25 cm.
— The installation of a new concrete trap, width 75 cm, side side.
— The fitting of reflectors between the bituminous layers to check thickness.
— The installation of 2 brackets in asphalt, type AVS-B, thickness 8 and 9 cm, to be fitted locally with steel asphalt aperture at the level of the subbridges.
— Placing a new topsoil in asphalt, type SMA-C2, thickness 4 cm over the entire surface of the yard area.
— The installation of permanent (thermoplastic structure) markings.
2. The renovation of underground bridges in the E40 (O17 Huntsman, O18 Tervuursesteenweg, and O19 Rosberg Street) and the upper bridges over the E40 (B16 Voskapel Street, B20 Hollestraat, and B21 Heerweg).
— The renovation of subbridges O17 Huntsman, O18 Tervuursesteenweg and O19 Rosberg Street in E40 concerns:
o Waste water seals (O17 and O18 only).
o Departure and positioning of footpaths (O17 and O18 only).
o PCC repairs.
o Locations of Characteristics.
o Bridge cleaning.
o Restoration of tallow hardening.
o grubbing-up of shrubs and trees.
In carrying out the abovementioned works, the contractor must take into account that all works on the bridge will have to be carried out from below, traffic on the bridge (= E40) is not interrupted and that the works must be as little as possible or not adversely affected by the works.
The above paragraph, with the exception of the works necessary for the replacement and renewal of the watertight seal on the 2 subbridges, which must be renewed and replaced during the respective phases of the E40 itself (see Article 2.13 phasing, below these specifications).
— The renovation of upper bridges B16 Voskapel Street, B20 Hollestraat and B21 Heerweg above E40 concerns:
o Recovered highway hardening (B20 only).
o Waste water seals (B20 only).
o breaking up of expansion joints and setting positions (B20 and B21 only).
o Departure and positioning of footpaths (B20 only).
o Renovation of water lifts on the bridge (B20 only).
o Recovery of the drainage of the bridge (B20 only).
o Strals under high pressure from superstructure, land heads and pillars.
o Places of drainage drains and drainers (B20 only).
o PCC repairs.
o Locations of Characteristics.
o Sparks of shafts (B20 only).
o Restoration of tallow hardening.
o grubbing-up of shrubs and trees.
In carrying out the abovementioned works, the contractor shall take into account that all works on the bridge from the side of the bridge will have to be carried out, without interrupting traffic under the bridge (= E40), and must be as low as possible or undisturbed by the works.
The above paragraph with the exception of works which are more necessary only from the bottom (e.g. rays of pillars, carry out repairs to the bottom of the bridge deck, etc.). Specific time slots are foreseen for this purpose (see Article 2.13 phasing, below these specifications).
3. Other related works.
— Carrying out all necessary topographical (additional) measurements and drawing up the necessary implementation plans (ground plans, transverse and longitudinal profiles, details, etc.).
— The necessary ground structures for excavation of the suitcase (central barrel, airports, pavements to be built, etc.).
— The creation of an as-built file.
— Installing (if any) a mobile concrete power station on the site.
4. Work signalling and reverse signalling.
— The installation, movement, rental, maintenance and removal of temporary prefabricated concrete safety hinges meeting the EU standards with a core power T3/W2/A.
— The installation, movement and removal of temporary paints (in areas to be transhipped) and preformed road markings (to be retained, already renewed, areas), as well as billboards on the E40 and E314, and the forthcoming road infrastructure (R0, N26, N264, N19, N3, etc.).
— The installation, movement and removal of rerouting signs, billboards and shutters for the temporary closure of the pick-up and exit complexes.
— Installation and maintenance of the site signs.
5. Maintenance of the works during the warranty period.
All maintenance and repair works required during the warranty period, which are a direct consequence of a defective performance of the contract in question, shall be borne in full by the contractor.
