Poland-Warsaw: Research laboratory services
1. Subject of contract:
(a) development of heat treatment conditions and specialised samples and instrumentation elements for the pressing of precious metal coins and their alloys, copper and its alloys and alloy steels made of K490 (60± 2HRC) steel or other high strength steel susceptible to nano-structured steel,
(b) development of technological conditions and production of diffusion surface layers of anti-dust, anti-corrosion and anti-adhesive, including composite layers, in terms of increasing the durability and reliability of instrumentation components made of the above-mentioned steels,
(C) develop a method combining steel nano-structural processes with the production of diffusion surface layers of anti-dressing, anti-corrosion and anti-adhesive, including composite layers, in order to increase the performance of coin-pressing tools.
Basic requirements:
(a) development of nanocrystalline steelmaking technology for the production of coin-pressing instrumentation components to improve resistance to cracking and the viability of coin-pressing tools,
(b) development of technology for the production of diffusion layers with a hardness range 900-1300 HV 0.05 on specialty samples and tooling elements of the above-mentioned steel which have been previously polished or ground (Annex data on roughness status), with higher corrosion resistance, resistance to friction than substrate material, i.e. w/w steel after heat treatment, or nanocrystalline steel,
(C) the surface treatment technology developed will be able to replace the current electrochemical chromium process carried out when the coin-pressing instrumentation is carried out, while maintaining the homogeneity of the phase, chemical composition and thickness of the diffusion layer on complex-shaped retailers.
