Description

The vacuum valves to be procured here (gate and angle valves) are used on the one hand to divide the various accelerators and beam sections into several vacuum sections and thus simplify maintenance and commissioning. On the other hand, these valves are used to separate the beam vacuum and the isolation vacuum from the fixed and mobile pumping stations, which are mainly used for pumping atmosphere up to operating pressure and at high gas loads. Depending on the accelerator and installation location, there are different requirements for the vacuum valves in terms of flanges, aperture, seal material, radiation resistance, bake-out capability and design.
