Donegal CoCo is seeking to procure an Integrated Design Team and PSDP Services for the development of a new ‘pocket’ civic space and attractive public realm scheme in Dungloe, Co. Donegal.
This project focuses on Theme 1 ‘The Historic Core’ and Action 1D which proposes to “improve the functioning of the Main Street/Carnmore Road junction, in order to alleviate traffic congestion; improve safety; and create a pleasant public environment”, and “create A new 'pocket' civic space and attractive public realm scheme”. The delivery of Action 1D as part of the overall An Clochán Liath (Dungloe) Town Centre Regeneration Strategy and Action Plan has the potential to be a best practice exemplar of the regeneration of place and space to create a quality environment for social and economic life in accordance with the Town Centre First Policy. To deliver the vision for the Project, the Integrated Design Team shall take the project from planning consent and detailed design, through to the construction, management and handover, in order to deliver a quality development proposal for this key rural regeneration site in the heart of Dungloes Historic Centre.
