The requested products contribute to the overall objective of project 4 ALFRED of implementing the experimental infrastructure and carrying out research and development activities for large-scale experiments on relevant nuclear safety aspects of fast lead-cooled reactors (LFR), thus contributing to the development and improvement of research and innovation capacities and the adoption of advanced technologies such as LFR. Part of the requested software is required for measurement, automation, and instrumentation control applications in installations, for continuous, discrete simulations or a combination thereof, allowing the modeling of complex dynamic systems in real time or accelerated, for the optimization and management of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, for identifying and solving problems in the existing automation systems in the installations of the 4ALFRED project, etc. Other software is required for modeling/simulation/analysis of thermohydraulic, mechanical or neutron phenomena in installations, such as: investigation in the HELENA-2 installation of thermohydraulic phenomena and mechanical behaviour of components and subassemblies, simulation in the ELF installation of the operating conditions of the ALFRED reactor and demonstration of the long-term operating performance or investigation in the Meltin'POT installation of the interaction of fused nuclear-lead fuel and of the phenomena of transport/retention of fission products in support of the ALFRED reactor licensing process, these representing research activities/sub-activities defined within the 4ALFRED project.
