Description

Since its foundation in October 2018, the Medical Faculty OWL at Bielefeld University has been in a phase of ambitious development and expansion. With a planned increase in the number of students from 60 to 300 per year from the winter semester 2025 and the integration of three leading clinics - Klinikum Bielefeld, Evangelische Klinikum Bethel (EvKB) and Klinikum Lippe (Detmold/Lemgo) - into the network, we are facing significant challenges and opportunities. In Bielefeld, a topic-centered Z-curriculum is taught in modules with a view to the new licensing regulations, which are currently available in the draft speaker, and the associated challenges. This thematic focus enables early introduction of clinical subjects, including bedside teaching, and fosters in-depth interprofessional collaboration. The subjects appear in several modules, which requires thematic interlocking at the level of individual events in order to provide students with a common thread about the courses. This structure is facilitated by the "coarse structure" of a module, which groups thematic events into blocks and thus efficiently addresses bottlenecks in human and spatial resources. In this context, we are looking for a software provider that can offer an innovative, flexible and intuitive hourly scheduling solution that is already in use. This solution should not only meet the logistical and organizational challenges of a growing faculty, but also support the integration and cooperation with our clinic partners, which optimizes small-group-based teaching. The aim is to create a platform that enables seamless planning and delivery of courses, simplifies the accessibility and exchange of teaching materials, and promotes an environment that serves the individual development and well-being of students. Under this contract, the software must meet certain requirements and map functions to support the management of academic procedures. The following sections explain the most important requirements, differentiated according to duty and optional functions and describe the desired scope of services in the form of a structured tabular overview. The requirements are divided into the two categories "mandatory" and "option". The optional points are scored on a scale of 1 to 10 (ascending importance).
