Description

The LKN-SH was instructed to plan the conversion of the blockage completed in 1986 into a pumping station. The following boundary conditions must be taken into account in order to modify the barrier:
— Maintain the existing level of the receiving river in relation to the three sewers entering the port and the shore-side catchment area of these waters,
— Sea water supply to the sea dog station in the port of Friedrichskoog The conversion of the barrier into a pumping station requires planning approval.
Services must first be provided in the HOAI 3-Object Planning, Section 3 of the Engineering Works (LP 1-4), 4 Technical Planning, Section 1 Structural Engineering Planning (LP 1-3), Part 2-Land Planning, Section 2, Section 26 Landscape Maintenance Plan (LP 1-5), Environmental Impact Assessment and Section 34 of the BNatSchG Impact Assessment Natura 2000.
The task will focus on the review of the water management bases for maintaining drainage and the provision of sea water to the dog station.
The port has a water area of around 35 000 m² into which a total catchment area of approximately 3 450 ha drained. The barrier has a clear width of 9.00 m and a dam depth at NN-2.50 m. The sea dog station is taking its water from the port today. As a result of the conversion, a seawater abstraction of about 2.5 km of external ponds must be planned.
The service will be provided following a step-by-step contract, first of all the above-mentioned performance phases will be contracted, and after planning approval, LP 5-7 and local construction monitoring will be commissioned in the area of site planning, and in technical planning, LP 4-6.
