Lot 3 - Electricity port Andernach - New construction of the shore fortifications 2nd to 3rd BA
Damage was found in the existing Rhine port of Andernach on the bank wall of the electricity port. Locally, the existing bank pile wall has strong head deformations towards the Rhine. In addition, the existing sheet piling is unanchored as well as designed for local conditions with a low integration. Due to the damage that has occurred and the dimensions of the components, the existing embankment wall and the immediately adjacent port area are no longer classified as stable. In order to ensure the stability and usability of the mooring and transshipment points in the electricity port in the future, a renovation of the harbour pile wall is necessary. The electricity port Andernach is located west of the port Andernach on the Rhine between Rhine-km 611,732 and Rhine-km 612,620. In the area between Rhine-km 611,732 and 612,255 are the two sections to be renovated. Down the Rhine to Rhein-km 612,620 is the ‘0. BA’, which has already been refurbished with a new bank wall. The existing bank behind the sheet piling wall is partially recessed. At the head of the sheet pile wall is a reinforced concrete beam, which passes into an embankment secured by potted water building blocks. At the head of the embankment are the foundations of a former crane runway and an electrically dismantled power channel. Explorations and excavations have resulted locally in further foundation remains below the port areas, which are to be demolished and disposed of in the course of the measure. The fortified harbour areas start from the rear edge of the crane track beams and border the ‘Uferstraße’ road in the south. At Rhein-km 612.092 (start of construction), the sheet pile wall closes to the already renewed sheet pile wall of the 1. BA on. At the Rhine-km 612,255 (end of construction), the existing bank pile wall connects to the existing pile wall (port basin entrance). The existing bank pile wall in the construction area is Larssen III double planks made of steel with a length of about 7 - 9 m and an upper edge at about +54.10 m NN. The bank pile wall is not re-anchored. The upper edge of the terrain above the embankment lies at approx. +58.40 m and rises to the ‘Uferstraße’ with a transverse inclination of approx. 3% to 6%. Along the bank pile wall are in the 2nd and 3rd BA five escalators available at a distance of about 35 m made of reinforced concrete. In addition, seven bollards with reinforced concrete foundations are integrated at the upper edge of the slope. Climbing ladders as well as niche bollards are not available in the inventory. The scope of services to be provided will be divided into the following lots. Lot 1 (waterside fastening, 1. BA) (already contracted, completed) Lot 2 (place fastening) (already contracted) Lot 3 (bank fastening, 2nd and 3rd BA) Lot 3 will be awarded here. The other two lots have already been contracted.
