(26095) 805 Survey of energy consumption in industry and services from 2027 to 2031
The Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) annually collects energy consumption in industry and the service sector. The statistics have been published annually since 1999. So far, the survey has included a sample of around 14,000 workplaces per year collected directly and almost 5,000 workplaces whose data are provided by central bodies (so-called ‘special cases’: Companies with list of workplaces, federal enterprises, large consumers of the federal government). The Federal Statistical Office (FSO) has been responsible for drawing the workplaces from the Swiss Business Register (BUR) and for the extrapolation procedure since 2002. The mandate for this survey was last advertised in December 2015 and will now be advertised again after the end of the contract period. As of reference year (RJ) 2027, energy consumption is to continue to be collected directly from around 14’000 workplaces each year. The contract duration of the mandate advertised here is five years with the option of an annual extension for a maximum of another five years. Preparations usually start in August of the reference year. Increased expenditure must be expected for the first survey round.
