Purchasing: The Health and Care Administration in the City of Copenhagen (SUF) will purchase medicine carts for nursing homes. 270 new medicine carts will be needed during the contract period.Background:The purpose of the new medicine carts is to ensure a good working environment for healthcare professionals, increase patient safety and optimize medicine management.The new medicine carts must have drawers for citizens' medicines, which are designed so that employees can easily get an overview of the daily and weekly medicine. The drawers must be flexible in their layout to make it easy for employees to get an overview of the citizen's daily as well as weekly medicine.Description of requirements for medicine carts:Medicinal carts in nursing homes must consist of and contain:Medicinal carts of 2 sizes:- Small medicine cart must accommodate medicine for 8 citizens (1 drawer per citizen).- Large medicine box must accommodate medicine for 12 citizens (1 drawer per citizen).Each drawer in the medicine cart must be able to accommodate:All citizen's medicine regardless of format:Functional transparent storage box for dose bags from pharmacy. Dosage boxes for 7-8 days dosing (small or large dosing boxes). Medication letters with daily doses in powder form. Liquid medicines (e.g. bottles or inhalers). Possibility of adding extra insert to the drawer (e.g. for eye drops, ointments). Material:Should be rinsed off or wiped off with a wet soap cloth. Must be relatively easy to drive around with. Design:Ergonomic and functional design that meets the needs of healthcare professionals. Smooth surfaces to support easy cleaning and high hygiene. Dual wheels for stability and easy manoeuvring. Ergonomic driving handle to support a good working position and reduced back load. Removable drawers for flexible use and easy maintenance. Name label to provide a clear citizen overview and accurate identification of medicines. The contracting authority has, through a prior information notice, cf. notice number 368689-2024, sought to identify the market for potential suppliers with an interest in the contract for the supply of medicine carts for nursing homes. Based on the prior notification and subsequent market dialogue with several possible actors, the contracting authority has found that only one supplier can handle the task and meet the requirements for delivery of medicine carts to nursing homes.
