Description

Trafford Council would like to contract with a Contractor to provide an Integrated Substance Misuse Assessement and Intensive Treatment Harm Reduction Service within the borough of Trafford.
The aim of the Service is to provide short episodes of Tier 4a inpatient alcohol and/or drug detoxification with 24 hour medical cover and multidisciplinary team support, as described below.
The objectives of the service are:
— to provide a period of drug-free recovery, as appropriate
— to provide effective psychological interventions, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and relapse prevention therapy. Via SPI programmes
— to reduce the use of illicit or non-prescribed and other drugs
— to facilitate, support and maximise the opportunities for abstinence from alcohol and drugs
— To improve overall personal, social and family functioning
