Smart Cable Guard (SCG) är ett system för kontinuerlig online PD mätning i mellanspänningsjordkabelnät. SCG ger möjlighet till proaktiv lokalisering av svagheter i jordkabelnätet (både i kablar och i mellanliggande nätstationer), innan ett fel med resulterande strömavbrott uppstår. SCG kan i de felfall som ej föregås av PD aktivitet även lokalisera felstället.
