Fire alarm system (KG 450)
The Museum of Hamburg History at Holstenwall 24 in Hamburg was built between 1914 and 1922 and is a listed building. As part of the current construction project, the exhibition areas are undergoing a fundamental refurbishment and restructuring, as well as a renewal of the technical building equipment.//The building comprises the following main uses: Bottom floor: Functional and storage areas, workshops, restoration rooms, offices, depots, kitchen and technical areas (heating/cooling, air conditioning, sanitary, electrical).// Ground floor: Areas for special and temporary exhibitions, gastronomy with kitchen, foyer, shop and event area.1. and 2. Upper floor: Areas for exhibitions and administrative premises. Attic: Further exhibition areas, administrative areas, storage and workshop rooms. // The construction takes place over two construction phases, which are divided as follows: Exhibition - Here belong the deep paterre, exhibition rooms and the attic. Administration - it is the offices and the foyer, these are divided into the left and right of the building structure.// KG 456 Hazard alarm and alarm systems// According to the fire protection concept (as of 13.07.2024) described building law requirements, a nationwide fire alarm system and alarm system is provided. //A comprehensive fire detection system of category 1 (full protection) in accordance with DIN 14675 and VDE 0833, with technical measures against false alarm, is planned for the conversion measure. The system complies with the product standard EN 54.//The fire detection centre is connected to the local fire brigade. The control center is installed in the basement (room -1.TF.025A) in a designated room. The installation of the system is carried out in fail-safe ring technology (separate rings for administration and exhibition rooms). Automatic multi-criteria detectors with plinth sirens are used to prevent false alarms.Hand fire detectors are installed at the entrances to the stairwell for the user areas (in accordance with DIN 14675).// Explanation of wiring: The wiring in the annular cable network is carried out across all fire sections with red fire detection cables in 4-wire technology. A cost-saving and expandable cabling of the detectors and control devices must be ensured. Each detector in the ring-line network receives its own BUS subscriber address. This enables individual detector identification. For greater reliability, the network of the fire alarm system and the equipment must be designed in such a way that only a part of the detectors or network elements in this ring fail due to a short circuit or an interruption of the annular line. All other annular line components remain in operation. // Subsequent peripheral connections are provided: Transmission device (ÜE) with main detector (HM), fire brigade control panel (FBF), fire brigade display panel (FAT), fire brigade key depot (FSD) Class 3, unlocking element (FSE), rotating beacon (RKL) or flash light on the FSD // The user areas are alerted with signals according to DIN 3304 via electronic small sirens or via signal sensors integrated in the automatic fire detector. According to the requirements of the valid standard, an alarm level of at least 75 dB(A) or a level that is at least 10 dB above the useful sound level in the event of an alarm must be guaranteed. The comprehensive guarantee of this level shall be demonstrated by measurements of the decreasing test expert. The signaling devices are supplemented with flashing lights in order to realize the required two-sense principle. Importantly, the fire alarm system is put into operation in various construction phases.// Special measures:In the museum there are rooms that are historical and listed. In these rooms, work is only allowed under special protective measures to avoid damage to the historical substance.//
