Description

De Mariapeel - Deurnsche Peel en de Groote Peel zijn in 2009 in 2 deelgebieden aangewezen als Natura2000-gebied. Het vigerende definitieve Natura2000-beheerplan Peelvenen dateert van oktober 2017, ter visie gelegd in januari 2018. Naar aanleiding van een bezwaar tegen het plan is in december 2022 het besluit genomen dat de grondwateronttrekkingen in de bufferzones niet vrijgesteld zijn van de WNB—vergunningplicht. De toevoeging verandert niet de 6-jaars looptijd van het originele plan. Het nieuwe Natura2000-beheerplan dient daarom formeel eind 2023 opnieuw vastgesteld te zijn. Vanwege deze korte termijn kan het beheerplan zo nodig (met een jaar) verlengd worden. De bestaande hydrologische modellen dienen te worden geactualiseerd en gecombineerd naar één toekomstbestendig provinciegrensoverschrijdend model, op basis waarvan voor de volgende Natura 2000-beheerplanperiode hydrologische maatregelen, beleid en eventuele vrijstellingen van de Wnb-vergunningplicht kunnen worden gebaseerd.
