Description

In accordance with the guiding principles for the intervention of Polis Litoral Ria de Aveiro, measures should be taken to protect existing natural systems by framing and integrating the Ciclable Ecological Wine (VEC) with the area of intervention, increasing the use of non-motorised and pedestrianists as a means of exploiting the Ria, ensuring that there is a continuous route along the Ria de Aveiro, enabling it to be covered in an integrated way with the surrounding landscape.
The aim of this project is to develop the following components: construction of cycling lanes; adaptation of existing routes, used as a result of agricultural activity, to mixed runs; provision of territorial and information signs (tourism and environmental); creation of rest areas and landscaping areas; landscaping of the surroundings of the Ciclable Ecological Wine, promoting measures to clean the banks and reskilling the vegetation cover, with the creation of new areas of vegetation and the eradication of weed species, enhancing the riparian gallery and native vegetation; and the creation of equipment and infrastructure to support and install suitable furniture.
