Description

The purpose of the contract is to: 1) The transport and recovery of dehydrated biological sludge produced by the sewage treatment plant located in the municipality of Peschiera del Garda, including the rental of the boxes necessary to carry out the service, the handling of the same at the time of delivery and collection from the storage yards to the loading bays and vice versa, including the replacement of those already filled in the loading bays with empty ones, all as described in this Special Specification. 2) Carrying out the characterisation analyses of dehydrated sludge, as described in this Special Specification. 3) The only transport (disposal is excluded) to authorized plants identified by DB of waste consisting of sieves and sand produced by the Peschiera del Garda purification plant, including the rental of the boxes necessary to carry out the service, the handling of the same at the time of delivery and collection from the storage yards to the loading bays and vice versa, including the replacement of those already full in the loading bays with as many empty ones, all as described in this Special Specification. With reference to dehydrated biological sludge, it should be noted that: - the waste produced is classified as special non-hazardous within the meaning of Article 184 of Legislative Decree No 152/2006, as amended. In particular, it is defined by EWC code 19 08 05 as ‘sludge from urban waste water treatment’ (physical state: muddy palatable). It is produced by a biological purification process, aerobically stabilized, mechanically dehydrated with centrifuges with a dry content ranging from 15% to 30%; - the waste produced has, in principle, the chemical-physical characteristics reported in the analyses deposited at DB.
