Italy-Rome: Transport of radioactive waste
Please note that SO.G.I.N. – Società Gestioni Impianti Nucleari per Azioni with its registered office in Via Marsala 51/C, Rome, as a result of the entry into force of Legislative Decree No 50/2016, needs to revise its own qualification system and the associated list of services for the transport of radioactive materials and special fissile materials (made up by notice published in GUEE S 63 of 31.3.2016, No 109541 – 2016-IT, and GURI No 38 of 4.4.2016). Therefore, since 20.4.2016, the qualification system established under Article 232 of Legislative Decree No 163/2006 has been regulated in accordance with Article 134 et seq. Legislative Decree No 50/2016.
Economic operators qualified by this contracting authority before 20.4.2016 remain qualified in the aforementioned qualification system until the natural expiry of the individual qualification. Applications for qualification in the course of an investigation, which had already begun on that date, will be examined in accordance with the legislation in force at the time of submission of the application in accordance with the guidelines issued by ANAC and MIT on the subject.
Applications for qualification, received after 19.4.2016, will be examined by reference, as regards the general requirements, to the grounds for exclusion set out in Article 80 of Legislative Decree No 50/2016.
The qualification requirements of a professional technical nature remain unchanged. The eco-fin qualification requirements will be made known to operators through publication on www.sogin.it- under the Suppliers section.
Until the revision/updating of the specific Sogin regulations, although inconsistent or not expressly provided for, the provisions laid down for the special sectors of Legislative Decree No 50/2016 apply.
