Description

The city of Norderstedt intends to rebuild and extend the school centre north. The existing school is currently located on the plot, which needs to be rehabilitated and suffers from major land shortages. The architectural and ground design-related possibilities for extension construction are to be identified and evaluated in a competition for implementation.
The relevant space programme in the context of the competition includes approx. 3 700 m² of new building space and approx. 300 m² of BGF renovation area in the entrance area. The rescheduling of the existing building is an integral part of the competition only in the area of the entrance/transition area. In addition, the over-planning of the external area for a new school court is required. The eligible costs for the new construction are approximately EUR 7 million net (KGR 300+ 400+ 500 in accordance with DIN 276). At the end of the competition, in addition to the scope of the competition, the planning of the existing building and the extension of the mensa (increasing kitchen tract) will also be transferred to the consortium. One will be implemented for the overall measure (new construction + conversion of existing buildings and schoolyard area design). The stock is already subject to preliminary planning as a concept study. The total project cost for the competitive part (new construction) is currently indicated at EUR 11.4 million gross. The total project cost for the subsequent construction (new construction + stock) is currently indicated at EUR 18.3 million gross.
The subsequent construction work will be carried out for the conversion and construction of new buildings in current operation. The opening of the new building is planned for summer 2021 and the overall completion in summer 2023.
