Description

The Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) have decided to restructure the areas of the Hansat Terminal and the Ross terminal – collectively referred to as Steinwerder Süd – located in the Steinwerder district. The terminals located in the central free port are subject to renovation and in some cases need to be built. With their existing surface structures, they offer little potential for current port use. In order to construct new, needs-based and efficient port areas, the existing quails are to be increased to a level of approximately NHN + 5.5 m to around NHN + 7.7 m for reasons of flood protection. The Roßhöft and Oderhöft tips are to be dismantled and the intermediate area of the Oderhafen will also be raised to a level of approximately NHN + 7.7 m. This creates, as part of a ‘preparation measure’, a contiguous area of approximately 26.4 ha, which closes to the north and east with riparian embankments, while in the west the quay wall is preserved. It is intended that the overall measure will be tendered out in a differentiated manner within 12 procurement units (CA) and implemented in a structural manner. This procurement unit, VE 02, ‘Destruction of Supra/Infrastructure, Explosive prospection and extension of Ellerholz Canal’, covers the preparatory works on the land of the Ross Terminal and the South-West (ESW) development area, which includes, inter alia, the following main services: — Removal of surface fixtures – Deconstruction of quay wall superstructures and bridge reservoirs in the Ellerholz Canal – Deconstruction of remaining flood protection facilities/tracks on the roasting terminal, incl. ducts and ducts for handling and disposal – Removal of remaining buildings still contaminated with pollutants – Increase of the Ellerholz Canal with material from the Hansat Terminal floor storage facility – Preparing the fitting-out of BE areas on the development area South-West – Ordnance prospecting/evictions on the Ross terminal and the ESW – Manufacture of main construction roads on the Roß terminal – Construction and operation of a mobile sieve/combustion plant
