Description

On behalf of the state capital Potsdam, the Kommunale Immobilien Service (KIS) intends to renovate and further develop the Am Stern district library in Potsdam as part of the federal program "Rehabilitation of municipal facilities in the areas of sport, youth and culture" (SJK 2022) and the urban development promotion of the federal and state governments "Social cohesion". In order to achieve these goals, the structural and energetic upgrading of the building is an important component of the construction measures. In addition, it is essential to adapt accessibility to the current state of affairs in order to give every person the opportunity to use the district library as a cultural meeting place. The aim of the project is the sustainable safeguarding and future-proof further development of the facility by refurbishment and structural adaptation of the existing building.
