Belgium-Geel: Radiation Physics Detectors for Measurements of Gammas, Neutrons and Charged Particles
Supply of radiation detectors for gamma-rays, neutrons and charged particles.
During the last 4 years the G.2 Unit has invested more than 1 000 000 EUR in detectors, 63 % of which using the framework contracts that are now expiring.
This procedure is meant to cover as much as possible of the needs in terms of detectors of G.2 Unit for the period 2020-2024.
In the next 4 year a significant number of low and very low background germanium detectors of the HADES underground laboratory will need to be replaced due to ageing.
On top of that the normal activities of the nuclear data group require a continuous update of their stock of detectors in order to maintain its role as major provider of neutron data in the EU.
