Description

UZ Gent's Laboratory for Clinical Biology processes a total of around 170,000 blood gas analyses on an annual basis. All results are forwarded to the LIS via the middleware 'Go' from Roche Diagnostics Belgium. For the collection of blood gas samples, we use blood gas syringes of 3 mL and to a lesser extent of 1 mL. The objective of this assignment is the implementation of a maximum uniform blood gas platform based on a cassette system, with special attention to minimum maintenance requirements and maintenance/calibration duration, optimal quality and maximum user-friendliness. In this assignment we wish to replace the existing aircraft (currently 17 existing aircraft in 12 departments) with new aircraft. The blood gas syringes and capillaries are contained in a separate plot. For Lot 1, at least blood gases, co-oximetry, electrolytes, glucose, lactate and haemoglobin should be analysed on the same device. In addition to delivery and implementation, the company will also be responsible for forwarding the results to the LIS, continuity, maintenance and support.
