The chain breakthrough project ‘From residual flow to yield’ focuses on maximising the value of future-proof food crops grown in the Netherlands, by developing scalable and sustainable solutions for upcycling or preventing residual flows together with chain partners. The optimal use of the entire crop is essential for the realization of profitable revenue models around these crops. At the moment, the opportunities surrounding these residual flows are not clear, because the priority lies in finding customers, product development and cultivation-technical challenges. This leads to unnecessary losses in the relevant chain. Moreover, the necessary chain parties are not yet sufficiently connected and organised. --
