Description

For the operation of the special waste disposal plant Ebenhausen-Werk, nitrogen is required for the purpose of inerting for the two special waste incineration plants and their ancillary equipment for reasons of explosion protection. Nitrogen is currently supplied by an on-site plant operated by Linde. The plant owned by Linde consists of an air separation plant with a maximum capacity of 100m3/h for base load requirements and a liquid tank (volume 17.3 m3) for peak load requirements and as redundancy. This ensures an uninterrupted supply of nitrogen. The function of the nitrogen generation plant is monitored remotely by Linde. The nitrogen is distributed via a pipeline network to the following GSB plants: Special waste incineration plants, shredder 1, tank farm, drum treatment plant. It is not possible to operate the aforementioned GSB plants without an uninterrupted supply of nitrogen. Due to the condition of the plant, a replacement of the nitrogen generation plant is required.
