Description

Due to increasing student numbers, the Astrid Lindgren School (ALS) has an acute need for space. Currently, about 200 students are being taught at the ALS, in a building that was originally designed for 120 students. According to a current forecast, the demand increases to 250. With the increasing number of students, the necessary space requirements are also increasing, so that the existing premises of the school are far from sufficient for future needs. In addition to the statistics, the school's management and staff feel the acute lack of space in their daily work, which increasingly stands in the way of their work and the support offered. In the future, this additional demand will be covered by a replacement building on the school's own property at Schwalbenweg 63 in 87439 Kempten. A space program for a new school building for 250 students was approved by the government of Swabia. For a targeted land use, it is planned to use synergies between the curative day care and the school for physically impaired people. In addition, there is an opportunity to improve the access situation for the pick-up and drop-off service as part of the new building, as well as to adapt the sports and break areas to the increasing demand. A swimming pool is also being built. The client has decided to pursue variant 1 of the feasibility study. The costs of the project (KG 300+400) are currently estimated on the basis of a feasibility study at approximately €42 million net , the costs of KG 500 at approximately €7 million net. The milestones for the implementation of the project include: - Start of service planning around the beginning of the first quarter of 2026. This call for tenders is intended to provide the following services: Building physics services, performance phases 1-7 according to Annex 1, item 1.2.1 HOAI. The services will be contracted in stages, see draft contract. There is no legal claim to total assignment.
