UK-London: Broadcast production equipment
The BBC is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for Live Broadcasting Vehicles Purchase and Services within the BBC.
The requirement is to obtain a Framework Agreement with a maximum of 3 - 6 suppliers awarded against each of the 3 individual lots:
Lot 1 – Type 1 Vehicles (VERV Based Vehicles)
Lot 2 – Type 2 Vehicles (iCav Based Vehicles)
Lot 3 – Type 3 Vehicles (Full Fat SNG Vehicles)
The Framework will include provision of supply and installation of satellite communications and broadcast production equipment within Live Broadcasting Vehicles.
Framework suppliers' responsibilities will vary from project to project and may include project planning, detailed design, coachwork, supply and installation of RF equipment, satellite links, baseband audio and video systems, performance and acceptance testing, support and the potential supply of base vehicles.
The BBC will reserve the right to source equipment and base vehicles from alternative suppliers on occasions where the suppliers awarded framework agreements under this procurement are unable to offer best value for money for these items.
The services will include include provisions for alternative methods of financing to include full purchase, short and long term hire arrangements and lease hire via an operating lease.
