Description

As part of the UKD's master plan, the University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) is planning a centralisation of patient-care laboratory diagnostics in a new building "Central Laboratory with Microbiology and Virology (ZL)". Overall, the overall measure consists of the following sub-projects: - Main project New Central Laboratory incl. clearing of the construction site and pipe mail facilities as well as the implementation of pipe mail on the UKD campus - Subproject 13.58 MFZ I, Expansion of the partial basement to the cryocampus In the new building of the Central Laboratory with microbiology and virology, the following areas are to be merged: - Central Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Diagnostics (ZKCL) - Institute of Transplant Diagnostics and Cell Therapy (ITZ) - Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hospital Hygiene (IM-MKH) - Hospital Hygiene Unit with LUHA - Institute of Virology. In addition to the health-care laboratories, the building will also include the areas of research and teaching for all institutes. Due to functional processes and accreditations, a separation between health care laboratories and research laboratories is planned in principle, except in the BSL3 laboratory.
