Description

Background: The WG has decided to provide a uniform system architecture for the LST, in which the different subsystems and components of the LST can be integrated independently of the products and technologies of the different providers. The basis for the product- and technology-independent system architecture is, among other things, the standardization and harmonization of all interfaces and communication channels for the LST. The aim of the AG is to create a sustainable and economical infrastructure. With the project ‘Design of integrated operating station’ (‘DiB’), a system-independent integrated control and operating system (‘iLBS’) was developed, which bundles the different applications in a standard operating station in a manufacturer- and hardware-neutral manner and eliminates the heterogeneity in the previous operating landscape. Using a newly developed standardized interface (SCI-CC-LST) between the interlocking and the operating system, it is possible to standardize the operation and eliminate the differences between the individual manufacturer types in the interlocking operation. With the integrated operating system (iBS, a subsystem of the iLBS), it is possible to flexibly assign and control digital and electronic interlockings in the long-distance and conurbation network as well as in the regional network to operating locations, regardless of location and manufacturer-independent.
