Description

According to § 2(1) BbgRettG, the rescue service includes the needs-based and comprehensive emergency rescue of persons as well as qualified ambulance transport as a public task. The rescue service also includes the implementation of measures in the event of damage events involving a mass attack of injured or ill persons (MANV/MANE). According to § 3(4) BbgRettG, qualified ambulance transport is the transport of other sick, injured or needy persons who are not emergency patients. After a medical assessment, they must require professional care or a specially equipped ambulance vehicle. According to § 3(5) BbgRettG, a mass attack of injured or sick persons occurs when so many emergency patients are to be treated that, in addition to the regular basic care, a special security procedure is required in order to provide emergency medical care to the emergency patients in a timely manner. The task of qualified ambulance transport for the ambulance service area of the LH Potsdam, as defined in Section 2(1)(2) of the BbgRettG, is to be assigned. If necessary, tasks pursuant to § 2(1)(1) and (3) BbgRettG (emergency rescue and cooperation in the event of a mass attack of injured MANV and sick MANE) shall also be carried out in accordance with the integrated Northwest Regional Control Centre (IRLS NW).
