The subject of the contract is the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with Government Gazette, Series II, No 2208/08-06-2019 (Provision of personal protective equipment to employees of first- and second-level local authorities and their legal persons and preventive medicine measures), Government Gazette, Series II, No 1503/11-10-2006 (Provision of personal protective equipment to employees of local authorities and preventive medicine measures) and the attached technical specifications and Law 3850/2010 (Ratification of the Code of Laws on the Health and Safety of Workers). In accordance with the above Government Gazette, officials of local authorities, permanent and fixed-term employees and contract staff of first-level local authorities are provided with personal protective equipment, depending on their position. The procurement concerns 575 employees of the Municipality of Kozani (officials and employees with a private law, indefinite and fixed-term employment relationship, as well as contracted project leasers). The procurement is considered necessary to meet the needs of the Municipality and has as its object the implementation of measures to promote the health and safety of workers at work.
