Description

The original assignment involves the construction of an IT tool for the regulation of asbestos remediation. Following new regulations from Europe regulating the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to asbestos at work, the tool already developed needs to be further adapted (EU Directive 2023/2668 is an amendment to the existing EU Directive 2009/148/EC) than previously foreseen. Research has been carried out which has covered the following issues: 1. Determining the impact of the EU Directive on SMART-ns; 2. Commitment of necessary actions to make SMART-ns compliant with the Directive; 3. Choices which user inputs are included. The results of the research phase make it clear that the tool needs adjustment before it will be workable in practice. Failure to perform the additional work means that the original result of the assignment is not achieved. Last extra work contract executed has a value of € 335.000,- Total amount Agreement + all changes ex VAT. is € 2.328.290,- excluding VAT.
