Description

The City of Nîmes wishes to take a new step in the design and implementation of its projects by giving a greater place to citizen participation. This ambition reflects a strong desire to make citizens active in their territory and to recognize their knowledge of the city, their daily experiences and their ability to contribute to the improvement of public policies. The municipality intends to make consultation the common thread of its structuring projects, capable of making a lasting contribution to the way in which the city is imagined, designed and implemented. The City also expects this approach to help renew citizen engagement, strengthen links between residents and create accessible and constructive spaces for dialogue. Concertation must bring out a collective word, connect initiatives and allow fruitful confrontation of different points of view. Citizen participation is thus envisaged as a lever for cohesion, cooperation and ownership of the transformations of the territory. With this consultation, the City wishes to retain a service provider specialized in consulting and implementing consultation procedures. As part of this consultation, the City of Nîmes acts as contracting authority.
