The Defence Forces (DF) operates in an increasingly complex and technologically advanced global security environment. To remain effective, resilient and agile in fulfilling national and international obligations there is an urgent and strategic need for professional Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services. Modern military operations demand robust secure and integrated ICT infrastructure to support intelligence, logistics, communications and command and control functions, as well as day-to day operations. Future forecasting has identified the requirement(s) for specialised expertise and scalability in order to respond to the evolving Defence Forces network, as well as Cyber threats, software advancements, and interoperability standards with partner nations.
