Description

The aim of this call for tenders is to procure a CPU cluster for the University of Göttingen and GWDG as a successor to the components of the NHR system ‘Emmy’ Phase 2 and the Scientific Compute Cluster of the GWDG installed in the modular data centre (MDC) of the University of Göttingen, together hereinafter referred to as ‘EmmyP2+’. The tender is supported by the GWDG, which is also responsible for the operation of the system. The order is made by the University of Göttingen and GWDG as the client (AG), to whom the invoice must also be submitted. For this procurement, a total procurement volume of € 6,500,000 gross is available. Within the limits of the resources available, the system offered by the Contractor (AN) must comply with the minimum requirements set out in the tender specifications. It is desirable that the maximum possible performance be offered within the scope of the procurement volume and that the procurement volume be used up accordingly. Optional services should be listed as an additional item in the offer. In addition to the procurement volume, the tender includes a repurchase option of €7,400,000, which is firmly planned by the AG subject to the final grant confirmations. Through participations of other institutions, a further increase in the repurchase budget by up to approximately €1,300,000 to a total of €8,700,000 is possible. In addition to the benchmark results, the selection of the systems to be procured takes into account other criteria aimed at the most economical use of the funds available. The installation of the systems should, where appropriate and possible, take place in two phases in 2026 and 2027. The first installation phase is intended to achieve at least 65% of the computing capacity of the CPU cluster ‘EmmyP2+’ to be replaced, as determined by application benchmarks. For all components of the procured system, a maintenance period of five years is to be offered and awarded separately. The first three years of the maintenance costs of the system components ordered from the procurement volume are to be taken into account in the procurement volume. Details can be found in the terms of reference. Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
