DB Fernverkehr AG; (Hamburg) is currently planning to procure further new bogie and wheelset change technology to supplement the stock of the Eidelstedt plant.
The procurement of further bogie and axle exchange technology based on omnidirectional propulsion technology for the removal and installation of bogies, wheelsets and subfloor components on the existing series (ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE T, BR 101) and ICE 4 ensures the efficient maintenance of the rolling stock on all 8 tracks equipped with track bridges (tracks 505 – 512). At the same time, the use of expensive compressed air for air-cushion technology will not be used.
