Triebwagen, Binnenschiffen und Landmaschinen eingesetzt werden. Hauptkomponenten des Grundtriebwerks sind das Kurbelgehäuse, die Kurbelwelle, Nockenwelle, der Massenausgleich 1. und 2. Ordnung, das Schwungrad und das Zwischenelement, welches an die geometrischen Vorgaben und Schnittstellen der Powerunit (Laufbuchse, Kolben, Pleuel, Zylinderkopf, Ventiltrieb) angepasst werden muss. Die Powerunit (brennraumumschließenden Bauteile) wird von der Universität Rostock beigestellt.
