Description

The contract area is located in the area of the city of Kouvola and the municipality of Luumäki in connection with the Karelian railway (railway section 1701, Kouvola - Luumäki), on the northern track kmv 228+741 - 249+705. The Taavetti service point kmv 237+952 – 239+679 is not part of the works area. The contract includes construction work as defined in the contract documents. The main work phases of the contract include: - Replacement of the superstructure - Frost protection measures, e.g. replacement, removal and installation of frost plates - Installation of test sleepers, approx. 400 pcs. The location of the installations between Ta-Lä will be specified later. - Spreading embankments - Adjusting the contact wire of the electric track - Track drainage work - Dismantling of old drums - Installation of new drums - Construction and alteration of service roads - Rock excavation - Construction of counter-banks on the north side of the track - Temporary grounding of new and old rails dismantled in areas where people are moving - Collection of old rails dismantled from the track and of poorly maintained/P-mounted sleepers for disposal. Destruction of old unfit/P-fastened logs. - Welding and storage of usable rails and sleepers (W14) dismantled from the track. Delivery of rails for storage in Kaipiainen (Voss-loh). - Dismantling and reinstalling the hot axle box detector track - Disposal of old sleepers dismantled from the track and storage of usable old sleepers Other superstructure works: - the works include the removal of Class D and * defects detected by the track inspection wagon (Meeri) (coating structure and electric track). Kos-sees the share of the renewed support layer in the contract and the supported gears always before the inspection runs carried out during the ex-post support during June of the following year.
