Renovation of Town Hall 2. BA
The town hall of the city of Neubrandenburg is located east of the city center in the extension of Turmstraße. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the city center, at the Friedrich-Engels-Ring, in direct walking and functional connection and occupies a special urban development position as the largest public building in the city center. The building was built in 1968 and has been the town hall of the city of Neubrandenburg since 1990. It is built in industrial construction. The refurbishment of the 1. Construction phase was completed in 2023 and released for use. The upcoming construction measures relate to the 2-storey low-rise building. This stretches in an easterly direction with an extension of about 30x35m. It extends the foyer of the main building with a waiting area. Furthermore, the low-rise building houses the council hall, consulting rooms and the canteen including the associated kitchen. On the first floor there is a gallery. This serves as an exhibition space for the city model. In the basement of the low-rise building, in addition to an exhibition room, offices, caretaker rooms, the IT department, the adjoining rooms of the kitchen and technical rooms are accommodated.
