Description

The contractor will deliver and implement comprehensive backup and recovery software to back up and restore data in virtualized, physical, and cloud-based environments. The goal is a central and flexible data protection solution that meets modern security and compliance requirements and can adapt to changing IT infrastructure requirements. Initial scope of the systems to be secured: • 500 virtual machines (VMs) • 60 physical hardware servers The solution must be modular and extensible to enable future infrastructure growth without reinstallation. Two specialized storage systems must be provided to support the backup solution. A new backup system for ÜSTRA's IT infrastructure is to be procured. The system consists of three parts: - a backup software to create and manage the backups of our (virtual) servers - two hardware backup storage appliances for the immutable storage of the backups in our two data center locations - an option to store the data in a third location in the cloud.
