The special purpose association intends to establish the "Documentation Centre for the Garzweiler Opencast Mine". Located directly on the open-cast mine, it is intended to be a lively place where the landscape and cultural change through the open-cast mine with an exhibition area for residents and visitors can be refurbished and experienced. The building is part of the "Blue-Green Band Garzweiler" growing around the opencast mine.
