AI 2025- 0220 SMH P1: Mobilteitshub The Smart Mobility Hub will keep the city, and in particular the ArenAPoort and its events, accessible and offer a solution for international coach traffic and pick-up and drop-off traffic at events (kiss & ride, taxis and AOV). In addition, the SMH will offer a sports park for the De Nieuwe Kern and Zuidoost district and create space for area development and a new sports park for AFC Ajax ‘The New Future’. Furthermore, it offers commercial and social facilities, in line with the sports & mobility programme. The SMH will contribute to creating an easily accessible, healthy, socially safe, climate-adaptive and sustainable environment. The SMH will be realized on grounds of Amsterdam, in the municipality of Ouder-Amstel. The SMH replaces the current event car parks, creating space for De Nieuwe Kern, including the expansion of AFC Ajax's sports park ‘De Toekomst’. The SMH provides for multiple use of the parking capacity for events, office subscriptions, cyclists, visitors, park & ride, kiss & ride, coaches and charging facilities in a future-proof parking building. The building offers space on the roof for an attractive public sports park. The building is optimally part of a new urban fabric between the areas De Nieuwe Kern and ArenAPoort, which means that the building connects with the surrounding (future) bicycle, pedestrian and car networks, green and water structures. The building facilitates a robust settlement of the large quantities and various flows of vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. The building is spatially and aesthetically optimally integrated into the area development, in accordance with the Structural Vision and urban vision De Nieuwe Kern.
