NL-The Hague: construction work
The PPP contract concerns an integrated design, Build, Finance, Maintain and Operate (DBFMO) agreement. The main purpose of this agreement is to design, construct, establish, (partially) provide facility services, maintain, finance and make available a museum at the museum quarter on the former Soesterberg flight base. The museum will consist of exhibition rooms, depots, office rooms and outdoor spaces. The first layout of the public spaces, including the development and construction of the first exhibition, is part of the contract.
The museum should be projected in the museum quarter (the search area) with a size of approximately 45 hectares.
The (re) fitting-out of the outdoor space directly related to the museum complex (terrain and garden) and the refurbishment, management and maintenance of the natural landscape in the museum quarter are also part of the contract.
The museum quartier is also the main tree for recreation and visitors to the natural area on the former flight base and is located in the Ecological Main Structure (EHS). The EHS balance approach applies.
Duration of the contract: 25 years after the museum complex has been made available. Supplies and housing services will be provided during the duration of the contract.
