Description

The subject of this contract is studies and project management tasks for the reorganisation, security and extension of the Port East. The objectives of the operation are:
(1) increase the inland capacity of the container terminal in response to the very rapid increase in container traffic (domestic and transhipment) and to promote the development of such traffic;
(2) optimise surface areas by grouping, rationalising, upgrading all the activities of the western ‘container’ darse and by increasing the area of exploitation by exundation at sea in order to predict the future development of the Port;
(3) improve the security level of the Port;
(4) increase GPMDLR’s expertise in sustainable planning and become a reference by integrating economic, environmental and social aspects into each of the planning choices.
