The Structural Metallurgy team of the Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris, a joint research unit of Chimie ParisTech and the CNRS (UMR 8247) specialises in the development of new metallic materials for biomedical and aeronautical applications, and is at the forefront of the study of microstructure-mechanical properties relationships via microstructural characterisations under mechanical loading and/or temperature. For this, the laboratory wishes to equip itself with a system of backscattered electron diffraction (EBSD) in order to carry out crystalline orientation measurements on metal samples. This device will be installed on a MEB FEG Supra55 already present in the laboratory. It is equipped with an in-situ traction plate on pre-inclined sample brand "Micromecha" that can operate at high temperature (less than or equal to 500 ° C). Since the gun of the Supra55 microscope delivers only a low probe current and in-situ measurements require high acquisition speeds, the detector must be highly sensitive. It must also have as little space as possible to get as close as possible to the sample mounted on the traction deck. This contract provides for the acquisition, delivery and installation of a backscattered electron diffraction system on a scanning electron microscope already present in the laboratory, on behalf of IRCP, as well as the training of future users.
